What
We Do

Since the decriminalization of parking citations in 1993, Parking Adjudication Division has assumed the processing of the Administrative Review and Hearing process of all impounds, boots/tows, and parking citations issued within the City of Los Angeles.

The main mission of Parking Adjudication Division is to provide Hearings under the California Vehicle Code (CVC), the Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC), and the Los Angeles Administrative Code for Citations, Impounds and Booting within the City of Los Angeles municipal limits, which include citations issued by council-controlled departments, as well as the independent departments such as Harbor and Airports, and several non-City agencies such as the California Highway Patrol, California State Police and Santa Monica Conservancy.

Parking Adjudication Division processes Hearings for mail-in and in-person citations, mail-in and in-person impounds, and boot/tow Hearings for five or more citations with penalties.

The Division maintains three offices located in the downtown Civic Center, Van Nuys, and West Los Angeles.
